Automaker FAW - Volkswagen has become the target of envy as news spread online of the company's plans to give out year-end bonuses equaling 27 months of salaries, Guangzhou Daily reported Thursday.

The company confirmed the news but said it was not that much as they based the bonus on the basic salary, which is 3,000 yuan ($466) per month. Basic salary accounts for one-third of the total payroll for the company, the report said.

據廣州日報周三報道，網上一條一汽大眾將發放相當于27個月工資的年終獎，招來一片“羨慕嫉妒恨”。

一汽大眾證實了該條消息，但是稱是以3000元(466美元)的月基本工資作為獎金發放的基數，所以實際并沒有那么多。報道稱，一汽大眾公司員工的基本工資占工資總額的三分之一。
