不管過去發生了什么,將來將會發生什么,你永遠都不會失去你的價值。你是獨一無二的,請永遠記住它!
A well known speaker started off his seminar(講座,研討會) by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200(在一個有200人的房間里), he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded (開始)to crumple(弄皺) the dollar bill up.
He then asked, "Who still wants it?"
Still the hands were up in the air(手依然舉在空中).
"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground(把它扔在地上) and started to grind (碾壓)it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty(臟兮兮皺巴巴). "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable(有價值的) lesson. No matter(不管) what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value(貶值). It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground(grind的過去分詞形式) into the dirt(泥土,灰塵)by the decisions we make and the circumstances(周圍環境) that come our way.
We feel as though(仿佛,好像) we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special - Don't ever forget it!
